The barometer combines your performance on Net Promoter Score, Mystery Guest Assessments and Social Reviews on a scale of 1-100.

- If you are looking at a specific site or area, you will also be able to see how this score compares to the average score achieved by the wider business.

How is it calculated
Each score is converted to a scale of 1-100. So:
- Assessments are normally out of 100 anyway
- Reviews are normally 1-5, so these become 20-100
- For NPS, promoters are already 100, neutrals (normally 0) become 50, and detractors (normally -100) become 0
Then each is given a weighting as follows:
- Social Reviews x1
- NPS x2
- Assessments x5
So an assessment counts for as much as 5 external reviews or 2.5 NPS results. But if you collect lots of NPS results from guest surveys, they will have a bigger impact overall on the barometer score than a single assessment.

The Barometer score is included for free, and can be accessed via the 'Dashboard' page in The Hub (available for customers with 2 or more products only). Please get in touch with your HGEM account manager if you have any further questions about your barometer score.
